Simple Pleasure of the Day: FOOTBALL

What Mandy Thinks: "Simple Pleasure of the Day" post
My favorite Sundays are fall Sundays because FOOTBALL is on.  I've always been a fan, watching it with my mom and sister growing up (too bad my dad isn't into sports or I would have played catch with him or something), so this Football Sunday went off as usual: clean the house while watching football (the cleaning taking place during halftime and commercials).

Football is arguably the best sport out of all US sports because (this all assuming you enjoy football):

- It can be enjoyed on TV as well as live at the stadium.  Sure cameras show things you can't see as easily live, but there's no commercials when you're at the game.

- I don't know if it's just me and my other football fans, but it seems like a lot of our "lucky charms" and special rituals seem to work more of the time during football than baseball.  In my case, right after I moved to the SF area and finally purchased some Niners gear, suddenly they're doing well.  Coincidence?!!  I THINK NOT.

- The rules of football in general seem easier to pick up on than other sports.  The gist of it is that the team has to get the ball down the field before the other team can stop them.  Big deal.  In baseball, there's all these stats and terminology I still have yet to decipher.  Even my baby self knew that a touchdown was when the ball got to the end of the field.

Yeah yeah all of these points are opinionated by a die hard football fan, but since when have my lists NOT been opinion-based?  Haha.
