Simple Pleasure of the Day: Holding a small dog

What Mandy Thinks: "Simple Pleasure of the Day" post'
My parents picked up a new dog today due to my sister's (and her dog's) impending move out of the house that will leave my mother dogless.  Ever since my sister brought home her Dachshund, my mom has been obsessed with Dachshunds, so she went to a breeder and found her new imperfectly perfect specimen now named Yogi.  He's so calm and so sweet but soooooo scared at all the newness, so as I was holding this small dog I couldn't help thinking it was my SPOTD.

There have been many adorable animals in my arms, including:

- Cats.  Need I say more?  No matter how much I want Jimmy in my arms, he knows it won't stop until he dies.  Cats belong in this chick's arms, so every cat I get the chance to hold better watch out.

- Dogs.  I grew up with "medium" sized dogs where holding them in your arms meant you were weight lifting and back breaking more than cuddling.  Lucky for me I have some family and friends who have smaller dogs that are arm-cuddling sized.

- Babies...?  I think I've held my cousin's kids or my cousins when they were babies or something... don't remember BUT I'M SURE I HAVE.  Even if babies freak me out a smidge...
