Money management has always been a stressful thing. I don't care if you're a GAZILLIONAIRE or poorer than dirt, money has and always will come with stress. To help calm my green paper nerves, I crunched some numbers by creating a full-on-written-down-and-not-just-off-the-top-of-my-head budget with monthly, occasional, and yearly expenses. Just seeing these numbers all in one place has me wishing this SPOTD of budgets was something I had done a long time ago.
Getting anything down whether writing with a pen and paper or typing it out can:
- Highlight things you wouldn't have seen if it was still smooshed in your fatty brain full of stuff like this.
- Confirm how real and serious this topic is because keeping it inside your smooshed brain may push this topic into a fantasy everything's-gonna-be-ok place instead of a this-is-real-world-shit-that's-serious place.
- Relieve some space from your smooshed brain so you're not thinking so much about the stress of it all where not-so-stressful stuff now has room to stretch.
