Simple Pleasure of the Day: Shorts!

Unlike 90% of the country currently, spring has been around in the Bay Area since... November basically.  BUT today the weather forecast indicated "record high temperatures" including my area flirting with the 80s.  Break out the shorts as a SPOTD because it's gettin' hot down here!  (At least for today.)

The first day of the year where you can wear shorts feels as good as:

- The first day of switched out seasonal sheets, whether it's thicker ones for winter or thinner ones for summer.  Fabric changes with sheets feel oh so good that first night and beyond.

- Your first seasonal-themed meal.  If you haven't had a hot dog since last summer, that first dog this summer will taste just a little bit better.

- A fresh start.

I hope the days of scarves and jackets are behind me for a short time, but this is the Bay Area.  Who am I to kidding?  I'll have to wear a scarf tomorrow but today's shorts feel pretty dang good.
