Music takes over my life in both positive and negative ways. So when I choose my SPOTD of silence instead of background music through some evening crafting, my music-centric self takes notice.
Normally I HATE silence because of:
- The ringing in my ears. THE WORST SOUND is no sound at all, which my ears seem to rebel against to make sound themselves by ringing. When my ears are ringing, I hum to tune them out.
- The fact that music could fill this void. Music to me used to be for escapism, but now it's all about the mood I'm in that the beats and words help extend. Silence meant not having a mood.
- Having so many thoughts that music keeps under control. My over-thinking female brain does not shut up, so silence only turns up my brain.
