Re-evaluating aspects of your life can be challenging, since most of the time I'm just letting time go by and not realizing I've changed from yesterday vs a month vs a year ago. My Simple Pleasure of the Day is a little self-revolution of being more stricter in knowing what I want.
Recognize your wants and needs in life by:
- Sitting in complete quiet time with your thoughts. Life gets really distracting, so completely purge a moment from distractions to really think over whatever it is your re-evaluating.
- Changing perspective. Ask yourself questions like "If X happened to me, what would the result be (Y)?" or "Does X really need to be in my life or can I replace it with Y?" Seeing things in a different way will bring out reactions you may not have known you could have.
- Exercising restraint. Take steps back from things that you normally step towards and see what happens.
