SPOTD: The purge

What Mandy Thinks: "Simple Pleasure of the Day" posts
My entire day was all about rearranging and reorganizing and decluttering at its finest, but most was at someone else's house.  Some friends of mine wanted to revamp their apartment and of course I love that kinda stuff so there I was moving furniture around and hypothesizing ways to make their lives fancier for HOURS it was great.  BUT when I got home I wanted more.  Regardless of my minimalism kick of the recent kind, there's always something I can give away or refashion into something useful.  Today's Simple Pleasure of the Day: a much needed purge of unwanted holiday decorations, closet items, and other junk I've been meaning to get rid of but sure as heck did today since my reorganizing high as yet to flat line.

I recommend a simple stuff purge every few months to:

- Clear up space.  Leave it simpler after a purge or consider it an excuse to buy more stuff you'll actually use and consider to be awesome enough to stay in your living space.

- Clear up your perspective.  Whether you're revamping your interests or just realizing you don't like certain things anymore, a purge can be enlightening for your awesome standards.

- Clear some sanity.  Stuff can pile up anywhere and everywhere which could make your insides feel cluttered as well.  A clear place is a clear mind.
