Today's trip to the store was one drawn by hunger, so of course I had a cart with mostly things that were not on my list. One included a bag of pepperonis for a batch of crescent pizzas I plan to have for dinner. (A single gal and whole pizza? Why bother?) What makes these a Simple Pleasure of the Day is that I bought the "mini" variety. These 1cm miniature food versions of pepperonis are so adorable and overpriced and so worth it.
I love miniature foods, not just because miniature anything is adorable, but also:
- Miniature food is snackable. I find myself wanting to eat a bunch of those Reece's Pieces more than two actual Reece's cups. I end up eating more of the peanut buttery chocolatey goodness out of snack-ability.
- Miniature food is accessible. What's America to do if there isn't a massive amount of portion-control options that make your life way easier? Miniature pepperonis or 100-packs of ramin noodles, if it's not the normal amount, we want the not-normal option.
- Miniature food is... FINE adorable I'll say it twice. Small versions of anything make my girly brain go nuts.
