Taking an unintentional break from writing (meaning I realized I hadn't written in a while whoops) may cause an outburst of writing so unfiltered that everything that comes out of your keyboard onto the screen (or pen to paper for old-schoolers) is so exceptionally perfect you just CANNOT STOP or else it's all a waste. This is my Simple Pleasure of the Day.
My brain decides to filter my writing by sometimes:
- Hating everything that is on the page for no reason. THAT SOUNDS HORRIBLE WHY ARE YOU DESCRIBING IT LIKE THAT, JUST STOP TYPING YOU'RE WASTING FINGER STRENGTH GAH!
- Not let any word come out of my head that is worth typing out. NO, that's not right... that word won't work either... UH JUST TURN THE COMPUTER OFF AND GO TO BED, WORDS SUCK RIGHT NOW.
- Editing what's already typed out because nothing is finished EVER to my mind EVER! I may edit myself out of a manuscript so fast I won't know what hit me reading a denial letter from a publishing company because IT WAS SO PERFECT WHY THEY NO LIKE?!
