Simple Pleasure of the Day: Bug inspecting

Some sort of devil bug has been snacking on my ankles.  This is my first summer in my semi-new apartment so I am learning more about this neighborhood's bug population, which I rarely see since Jimmy the Cat eats anything that moves.  After getting close to flipping my mattress trying to find this devil bug, Jimmy joined in on the merriment to make bug inspecting my Simple Pleasure of the Day.  I checked a place and he double checked it for me.  I have yet to find this bug...

UPDATE AUGUST 2013: Turns out these bites are from fleas that I now know Jimmy has.  Wish me luck in the eradicating process.
